BRANCH WINS REGIONAL AWARD

Brighton & Hove UNISON has won a regional award for being the best recruiting local government branch in the South East 2022. It’s been a tough time for Trade Unions with the cost-of-living crisis, inflation and continuing cuts to public services making it particularly tough for members. What this award shows though is that workers can clearly see that there has never been a more important time to be in a union.

Joint Branch Secretary, Corinna Edwards-Colledge said:

“This is a brilliant endorsement for the hard work, passion and professionalism of our branch and its Officers and Stewards. We are delighted that we have been growing our membership, despite a number of challenges, and are particularly pleased that this means there are even more workers who will now be able to access our support, advocacy and campaigning activities.”
