Defend the NHS timetable of local events

We have the first of our monthly stalls on Saturday 9th Jan. The same day as the student nurses are taking to the streets in London – see https://www.facebook.com/KingsCollegeNursingAndMidwiferySociety/
Their petitioning and lobbying has been excellent and there is debate time in Parliament on Monday 11th Jan. #bursaryorbust
We’ll be supporting the Junior Doctors who are set to take 24 hour industrial action on Tuesday 12th from 8am – see http://www.bma.org.uk/news-views-analysis/news/2016/january/junior-doctors-go-ahead-with-industrial-action. Join them outside the Royal Sussex County Hospital from 8-12.30.
Our big event for January is the Education and Training day on Saturday 16th, 11.30-3.30 Methodist Church Hall Dorset Gardens BN2 1RL. This day is for you – all of you who support our aims for a publicly funded, accountable and owned NHS. Do you want to learn about the impact of Commissioning and recent challenges faced by GP services, Junior doctors, NHS staff and medical students? Do you want to work out what we can do locally? There will be talks, workshop discussions and sample activities people can sign up to – find ways to use your skills to help the campaign. Email
defendthenhs@gmail.com if you’d like to attend.
Finally, please keep circulating the Brighton Citizens Health Services Survey. It has had a great response so far. It’s open until February.
