Good turnout for Balls to the Budget rally

Brighton residents were joined by delegates from the Unite union conference being held in the city for a Balls to the Budget rally this afternoon (8th July.)
Protesters heard speeches condemning the Tory government’s budget, which includes cutting benefits, holding down public sector pay rises to 1% for four years and scrapping the maintenance grant for students from low-income families.
Everyone agreed to continue the fight to resist every attack from a government intent on making the poor pay for the greed of the bankers and their cronies.
