Unison members are inviting anyone who opposes the Government’s savage austerity cuts to join them on their strike day on a march through Brighton and a rally at the Level park in the city centre.
The city’s Trades Council is co-ordinating two marches to the Level starting at 10.30am, one from the Hove Town Hall area and one from Hollingdean Depot.
They will converge for the rally at around noon at the Level.
Already Unison and NUT members have voted to strike on 10th July and it is expected that other unions will join them on the day.
But you don’t have to be a union member to support the action – just come along to add your voice to the growing anger at the devastating effects of the Government’s attacks on the public sector which provides vital services to ordinary working people.
Unison members will be picketing the council’s main buildings from early morning on 10th July.
STOP PRESS: The GMB union announced today that their members have also voted to strike on 10th July.
